Our mission is to ensure that our clients can implement an effective drug-free workplace program tailored to their specific needs and meet all customer requirements, state and federal laws, and DOT mandates.
Workplace Safety Screenings believes that a solid drug-free workplace program increases safety and productivity while reducing liability. There are five factors that build a strong drug-free workplace program:
FULL-SERVICE WORKPLACE SAFETY PROGRAMS:
A drug-free workplace policy is designed to maximize the health, safety, and welfare of all your employees. Each drug-free workplace policy is customized to meet the client’s requirements while adhering to local, state, and federal laws. A written substance-abuse policy clearly outlines the employer’s expectations and the consequences for a policy violation in order to protect all parties.
To ensure that the program is effective, each employee should be trained on the drug-free workplace policy in order to promote compliance. Proper employee education will result in clarity about the terms of the drug and alcohol testing policy and procedures as well as the consequences for any violation. Employees that understand their drug-free workplace policy are less likely to come to work under the influence.
Supervisors are responsible for managing employees and ensuring all company policies are followed, including the drug-free workplace policy. Through this training, supervisors are empowered in understanding the drug-free workplace policy and how to determine and act upon reasonable-suspicion cases. Supervisors will be on the front lines of identifying reasonable-suspicion cases.
Our thorough drug and alcohol testing includes several partners: designated employer representative (DER), third-party administrator (TPA), collector, laboratory, medical review officer (MRO), and an online reporting module. By utilizing these partners, we offer you a seamless experience.
An employee assistance program (EAP) is an employee benefit designed to offer help to employees who have an addiction problem.
